Dolphin Die-Off in Peru

atlantic spotted dolphinsThousands of dead or dying dolphins have washed ashore in Peru since January, a marine mystery potentially caused by a combination of stress, pollution and disease.

Read the report on Scientific American’s website.

NEW: The result of a study carried out by the government to explain the deaths of so many dolphins on Peru’s shoreline suggests it all has natural causes – not linked to the massive explosions carried out for oil exploration. Environmental groups are unconvinced.

Urgent Call to Sea Shepherd Supporters

Captain Paul Watson | Sea Sherpherd

Help Save Captain Watson from Extradition to Costa Rica! Show your support for Captain Watson by contacting the Federal Minister of Justice in Berlin, Germany. Let her know that the warrant for Captain Watson’s arrest is politically motivated and thus should be ignored by the German government. Only international support  can set Captain Watson free, and keep him from the possibility of facing an unfair trial in Costa Rica.

Go to the Sea Shephard Website and take action.
