Our last week in 2013. Yin Yoga with Julie Rousseau. And it was a windy week. But the magic happened. Once again. From morning Yoga to some great snorkeling and swimming with the dolphins to relaxing evenings with Yin Yoga. It's always a pleasure when the dolphins come to the bow and gift us with their presence. Forever grateful. And great happy end to our 2013 season. Yahoo!
A Bimini holy trinity - this week we saw all three kinds of dolphins we have in Bimini - Atlantic Spotted, Coastal and Offshore Bottlenose dolphins. We even managed to hang out with the Offshore ones under the water. A special treat. A jumping spectacle by Spotted dolphins just underlined that everything is possible in Bimini. Don't dream it - live it! Or better - swim it!
A week with Animal Communicator - Pattie Carney. We have started on the windy side and were blessed by Offshore Bottlenose dolphins who came to our boat once again. It was our 3rd sighting of them this year and they came in big numbers. We don't see them as frequently as Atlantic Spotted or Coastal Bottlenose dolphins so their presence is always special. Snorkeling at new reef named - Suzuki reef - was another highlight. Spotted dolphins were just the cherry on top of this beautiful week.
"One Magnificent Life" - a week with Jerry Anatham and Paul Gannon. Great Yin Yoga in the morning and some amazing dolphin encounters during the day. Watching Bottlenose dolphins in "boiling" high energy pod, traveling with spotted dolphins into deep waters, playing "superman" on the tow lines, freediving with dolphins ... and mostly ... having lot's of fun. That's the way it should be.
A Full Moon week in October. What a treat. Hard to believe we are in Autumn as it felt like Summer. Calm seas, warm ocean, rainbows, full moon, dolphins in deep blue, dolphins in shallow waters, few dolphins, lot's of dolphins, ... When they come in big numbers it's like a train passing. Beautiful sight. Everyone got Dolphinized. Once again.
Starting the week with light wind which slowly increased by the end of it. Thanks to it we could go to East Well - true Bimini paradise. A deserted beach just for us. Going into the waves we met a dolphin Mega Pod. Couldn't even fit it in one shot. They were everywhere. Though the water wasn't clear as they were moving along the tide-line, it was a sight to never forget. And our Bird of Paradise plant flowered the first time! Yee Haw.
A week with Terri O'Hara, an animal communicator. We saw a huge pod of Offshore Bottlenose Dolphins. They are bigger and darker than their Coastal cousins. And meeting Spotted dolphins in the Big Blue is always mysterious. Due to darker blue hue they color seems to be different than what we use to. On top of that we saw a school of squid playing underneath the DolphinQuest and Brown Bobbies resting on the water - that was one full week.
An Annual Dolphin retreat with Alaine Portner. Spending the afternoon at East Wells - the east side of Bimini - was a highlight on its own. Doing Yoga on the beach and swimming with the dolphins were the others. The week was full of Dolphin love and incredible connections.
A Full Moon week. Full with the moon, full with dolphins and full with fun. Even with frequent showers passing by earlier in the week, the sun and dolphins were warming our hearts. September is once again proving to be a good month to be in Bimini.
Eine weitere schöne Woche. Another beautiful week with our german speaking friends from Europe. Seeing the dolphins in deep blue, where blue was so incredibly blue was a blast. Surreal. We started the week on a windy side but by Friday it calmed down completely. The time seems to stopped. So comforting. We topped the week with snorkeling at Sapona - a wreck of a concrete ship which lies just south of Bimini.
Our first annual "german speaking" week this year . This is a September in Bimini in a prime time! Water so still that you can't see any ripples, dolphins effortlessly gliding underneath the surface and water crystal clear. Eine tolle Woche as our german friends would say.
A beautiful meditative week with Rahasya and Nura. By the end of the week the ocean calmed down and we could enjoy a "summer ocean" in Bimini. Flat, calm, reflecting, like a mirror. Finding dolphins deep in the bank where the water is green, or close to the Gulf stream where its crystal blue has no effect on the quality of the dolphin swims. The magic always happens.
It was a Full Moon week and very windy week. Unusual weather for this part of year in Bimini. And no matter what the weather does, the dolphins always show up. The water was little bit stirred up and green but the connection with our friends was as good as on any other day.
Middle of August in Bimini + Family week + Dolphins = Lot's of Fun.
Seeing dolphins in late evening, swimming with them in 60 foot deep and dark blue water, swimming with shark, watching squids, morning Yoga practice, bow riding with dolphin underneath .... so many highlights but one stands for all. Being with kids around is like being kid once again.
There was a wedding at WildQuest this week. Just before the sunrise we had a beautiful wedding ceremony than went to connect with the dolphins. The celebrations spread to the ocean as the dolphins were jumping with joy. We had a few very calm days on the ocean which meant very good snorkeling and a surreal time on the water as everything around us went quiet.
The Joy of Singing with Peter & Aneeta Makena. A heartful week, full of beautiful singing and dancing. Such a sweet energy which we took onto the boat, carrying it with us to the dolphins. Swimming with the dolphins in the rain was an amazing experience. It almost felt like nature was singing with us.
The weather was good and the ocean was calm. Bottlenose dolphins, Spotted dolphins, snorkeling, swimming ... it was so full, that it's really hard to describe it in a few words. Clarity of the water + the temperature of the ocean = Bimini in its prime time.
It almost felt like Spring, as the clouds and rains were passing by and the temperature dropped down. The clarity of water was exceptional and the Bottlenose dolphins were as friendly as ever. It's beautiful to watch them becoming less shy and more curious. It was a dancing week with Lucia, Doug and 5Rhythms and it was a beautiful dance together.
A week with families. Always nice they came and share their young ones with us. Lot's of dolphins and we also manage to swim a shark. What a treat. Our dolphin friend Freddie showed up this week with his friends as we showed up with ours. True Human-Dolphin Pod.
An epic week. Swimming with big pods of dolphins - mix of Bottlenose and Spotted, was a real experience of our motto: One World One Pod. The winds picked up by middle of the week and the sails went up. Great sailing and incredible feeling of being moved by the wind. Swimming with the Stingrays at Honeymoon Harbor was just the cherry on the top.
A week with Lou, Lydie and the dolphins. The journey continues ... Encountering a mixed pod of Bottlenose and Spotted dolphins and being part of this was a magical moment. Deeply engraved in our hearts.
Seeing Moray eel, shark and beautiful tropical fish was an added bonus to the whole experience.
Thank You Lou and Lydie for bringing such a wonderful group to our Bimini Pod.
Ocean was beautiful. Light winds, clear skies, gorgeous water. Seeing dolphins in the late sun, with sunny rays penetrating the surface was a real gift. Relaxing with them and sharing their mellow energy, becoming one in the vast ocean ... of love
We were blessed with some dramatic skies over the Dolphin Grounds as the storms were passing by. Spotted and Bottlenose dolphins came together to play and socialize. It was wonderful to watch their underwater formations. Like a flower, opening and closing. And the water? Blue, green, beautiful and ... warm. Just can't get enough ...
Water got blue again this week and the clarity was crystal clear. Snorkeling at Three Sisters was simply incredible and despite couple of windy days we had some great sailings. Thank You dolphins for allowing us to share your world.
Stormy weather in Bimini stirred up the dolphin grounds. The water turned green and the visibility drop down. It was very magical with the dolphins under the water as they were appearing and disappearing within few feet. It added another dimension to our swim - mystery ... and we were crying with the nature.
Week with Soul of Yoga. Stormy at the beginning of the week becoming windless by the end. Seeing dolphins gliding under the surface, crystal clear water and yeah, it's already hot in Bimini! Snorkeling at Mosel Bank was another highlight. Amazing!
Skies were cloudy, breeze was coming around and dolphins were enjoying their time. Had great connections with both - the Bottlenose and Atlantic spotted #dolphins. Seeing Spotted dolphins playing in 15 feet of water was a gift.
